About The Axiom

What is theAXIOM?

The Axiom youth center in Oroville, CA opened its doors in August of 2007 as a safe place where Jr. High and High School students could go after school. Thanks to charitable giving by families and businesses in the community, it is free of charge to everyone! Come, stop by and play the latest in video gaming, billiards and foosball, order a drink or get something to eat at our café, sit and work on homework or get help with homework, or just hang with some friends. We’re open Tuesday through Friday from 3pm – 5:30pm for both Jr. High and High School, and from 5:30pm – 9pm for High School students only. It’s a place where students can not just ‘exist’, but where they can ‘belong’.

Why theAXIOM?

The Axiom started as a result of families, local businesses, churches, and other youth advocates coming together with a commitment to meet needs that exist for Oroville’s youth. As a result, The Axiom was created and now serves as a place where students can find academic, emotional, physical, and spiritual help, and can ultimately be known by a caring team of volunteers. Bottom line, The Axiom exists because we care about our youth and truly want to see them have the best chance possible at reaching the God given potential they were created with.
