The Axiom is more than just a hang out to many of the kids that check in.  While trying to protect the students, we would like to share with you some of their stories.  These are real kids in Oroville that attend The Axiom on a regular basis.

I’ve been going to The Axiom since it first opened. Broken life with mom step dad and half of my siblings. Drugs are a part of my daily homelife. Axiom has gotten me out of my house and all the bad stuff there. Axiom is a safe place for me.

I’ve been going to axiom since it opened. Pretty good home life. Loving family. Axiom has helped me get friends since I was new to town. Gives me a place to hang out with my friends. Really like the staff and feel like I can talk to them. I really like Motus on Wednesday nights. I wish there were more group activities and tournaments.

I have been coming to axiom since last year. My parents are together but they fight a lot. Alcohol is something they drink everyday. Lots of arguing and fighting between my parents. Axiom is like home to me. I can get away from family. My friends are here and it is the only way to hang out with them. Also, I get to meet new people. I feel an openness with the staff. I like the activities and play days.

I’ve been coming to Axiom since it first opened. I have a pretty good home life. Single mom.  Axiom is a place to go so I don’t have to deal with the bordem at home. I get to see all my friends.  It helped me to get more sociable, meet new people and make new friends. I like Motus. If Axiom was never here, I would pretty much be a hermit without friends.

I’ve been coming since my freshman year of high school. I came from a home with lots of drugs and unhappiness. This January, I moved in with a single female in her late 20s that was a leader in my youth group and things are now so much better. Axiom is a serene place to not worry about all the stress of life. I don’t feel judged when I’m there and have made more friends. The Axiom and Motus have given me a place to connect that I actually want to go to.

I’ve been coming to Axiom about a year now. I live with my mom and step dad. Sometimes we argue but nothing out of the ordinary. Axiom has made me a lot happier. I am able to open up my problems and not feel judged but loved.

I have been going to Axiom for a year. I live with just my dad. We don’t really talk at all. Once and a while there are drugs and alcohol at home. I am pretty lonely. The Axiom has given me so many new friends. Most of my friends are because of Axiom. I feel safe and loved so much. The staff asks me all the time about my day and my life. People don’t do usually that.
